CFP is Safe Work Australia Week Partner
02-Oct-2009
National Safe Work Australia Week is held annually in October to focus
attention on workplace safety. The week aims to encourage all working
Australians to get involved in, and concentrate on, safety in their
workplace to reduce death, injury and disease.
Safe Work Australia Week is a key initiative of Safe Work Australia.
Now in its fifth year, the week will be celebrated from 25 - 31 October
2009. This year national Safe Work Australia Week will focus on the
harmonisation of occupational health and safety (OHS) legislation.
Custom Fluidpower is proud to be an official Safe Work Australia Week Partner.
Why is workplace safety important to us?
The Management of Custom Fluidpower is committed to providing and
maintaining a safe and healthy working environment for its employees
and those visiting the organisation.
In demonstrating
Management duty of care, we provide a working environment that
minimises incidents of risk, personal injury, ill health or damage to
property. This includes:
• Providing employees with appropriate training.
• Providing safe plant, equipment and systems of work.
• Regular consultation of health and safety issues.
A
safe working culture is the responsibility of everyone and this can be
best achieved at Custom Fluidpower through cooperative efforts of all
employees. A safety culture is reinforced at Custom Fluidpower through:
• Continually identifying, assessing and controlling possible risk
to people's health and safety that may arise in the workplace.
•
The provision of information concerning such risks and the promotion,
instruction, instruction, training and supervision of employees to
ensure safe work practices.
• Giving employees and customers the opportunity to participate in health and safety decisions that affect them. |
